The Food Market

One of our most impactful initiatives is The Food Market, which provides choice-based food support to hundreds of households each month. Unlike traditional food banks, The Food Market uses an innovative point-based shopping model that empowers individuals and families to select the groceries they need—preserving dignity, reducing waste, and promoting nutritional autonomy. This model reflects their commitment to treating every person with respect and compassion. Our market volunteers meet clients and walk through the available donations helping them to understand what we have available.

The Café

One of the most welcoming and vital spaces at The Lighthouse is the The Café, open 9:00 am – 12:30 pm Monday to Friday. Here, individuals can find rest, warmth, and dignity. Guests are invited to enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a variety of nourishing food options in a relaxed, friendly environment.

The Café also provides access to essential amenities such as showers and laundry services, helping restore a sense of normalcy and self-worth. More than just a place to recharge, it serves as a connection point to professional services—including housing support, mental health resources, and other community partners—ensuring that guests receive holistic care and pathways to stability.

Drivers

Our drivers go out each morning to collect donations from our local partners and bring them back to the food bank. They will often work with our receiving team to make sure that our donations are properly processed.
