Located at 441 3 Street SW in Salmon Arm, the team at The Salvation Army – Lighthouse Community Ministries connects with families every day to provide grocery support. This year as we’ve seen grocery prices increase, we’ve also seen a dramatic increase in the number of households that are coming to us for support. In August we shared 15,166 lbs of food with 467 households.
We use a shopping model where households have a number of points available for them to spend in our market space each month. Flexibility and the ability to choose are important to us.
The Food Market is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am — 12:30 pm.
